Mr. Thorogood's engagements:

Major Construction Company within the Oil, Gas and Mining Industry

As the Materials Manager, responsibilities included managing three warehouses with twenty two support staff. 

Duties included: supervision, assigning tasks, project management, coaching, teambuilding, training, hiring and corrective discipline. Additional duties included securing approved financial expenditures for specific materials management projects, monitoring shipping and receiving, designing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring safety standards, overseeing warehouse organization and managing asset disposal.

Leading Golf Organization

Client engagement included identifying new business opportunities, internet web development, sales and distribution channels, extensive market research, due diligence and information analysis.

Major Regional Healthcare Facility

Identified appropriate strategic partnership opportunities with hospital and client for the purpose of establishing clinical trail management programs utilizing unique enabling technology.  Coordinated meetings involving senior management representatives for both parties.

Leading Boutique Consulting Firm

Involvement with a variety of business consulting activities for cross-section of mid-range sized companies.  Client engagements included strategic business consulting, due diligence, business plan analysis, market research and new business development.  Provided consulting expertise in the purchasing, manufacturing, within retail and wholesale and e-commerce business models.

Big 4 Accounting Firm

Involvement with various consulting engagements which provided high level management advisory services to firm's clients.

Responsibilities included the preparation of client reports identifying immediate productivity improvements and recommendations for policy restructuring to attain long-term efficiencies.  Analyses included client interviews, mapping narrative sessions and business process analyses. 

Additional consulting experience within the Consumer and Industrial Markets Group encompassed purchasing, inventory management, and accounting practices.  Mr. Thorogood, provided recommendations to collateral practices within the firm and identified "new business development" opportunities for the firm.  Additional projects included seminar planning and the review and analysis of business plans.

Additional Career Achievements Include: 

As a member of the Small Business Development Center of San Diego Chamber of Commerce provided advisory services to early stage companies. 

Provided senior level consulting and advisory services to a broad range of companies in a variety of industry sectors.
