PRINCIPAL PROFILE SUMMARY
Mr.
Thorogood has served as a management consultant for over 14 years providing high level
consulting in the areas of supply chain management,
sales, business development and operations expertise to early stage and
mature companies.
As a Certified Professional Purchaser C.P.P. and a Certified
Purchasing Manager C.P.M. he has significant experience in supply chain management, purchasing, inventory management, Internet
technologies and the development of operational efficiency strategies.
Mr.
Thorogood has a variety of corporate experience in both Canada and the
United States across a number of
industries and markets and has developed a notable business development network.
While at KPMG, LLP,
Mr. Thorogood worked as a senior management
consultant with the Assurance-Based Advisory
Services (ABAS) Practice within KPMG's Consumer/Industrial Markets group
located in San Diego, California.
His primary oversight responsibilities in engagements to assist clients with the identification of productivity
improvements and to recommend strategic policy restructuring for
long-term efficiencies. Key to these assignments were client
interviews, process mapping and narrative descriptions, business process
analyses, and the identification of improved practices.
Additional activities included
business development, seminar planning and business plan review.
Mr. Thorogood has been a member
of the (PMAC) Purchasing Management Association of Canada since 1991 and
the (ISM) Institute for Supply Management in the USA since 1997.
